Steps to manual install/uninstall osquery on Windows a system

Overview
This document outlines the procedure on how to install/uninstall osquery on a Windows


Procedure


Installation

  • Right-click (or double-click) the pkg file and choose "Install"
  • OSquery will self-install.

Uninstall

  • Go to the "Control Panel" console from the start menu.
  • Click on "Uninstall a program" under "Programs"
  • From the "Programs" Page. Find the "osquery" program and right-click on it (Or double-click) and choose "Uninstall"
  • A pop-up question with "Are you sure you want to uninstall osquery?" will pop up. Choose "Yes"
  • You might get another confirmation question by the OS User Account Contol. Choose "Yes".
  • OSquery will then be uninstalled.
